This institute provides an opportunity to increase the teens’ awareness of the responsibilities they can perform in their local Pathfinder Club, for their fellow man, and for God.

Attendance

It is not necessary for those attending to have completed all Teen Counselor requirements; however, they should be teens who are serving in local clubs and acting as Teen Counselors and are planning to complete Teen Counselor requirements by the end of the year. Teens must be acting or invested Teen Counselors currently involved in a Pathfinder club.

Registration

The club director or secretary must submit the online registration form fifteen (15) days before the convention. Registration deadline is Thursday, September 20. If space permits, any registrations received after the deadline will be charged an additional $20 per person. Also, any changes made after the deadline will incur a $5 fee.

There are different ways to stay at Pine Springs Ranch: lodge, cabin, wagon, rv or tent. When staying in the lodge, cabins,or wagons all your meals are included. For RVs and tents you need submit which meals you want. In the lodge, linens and towels are provided. If staying in the cabins or wagons, you must bring your own linens, i.e., sleeping bag, pillow, towel, etc.

Select your accommodations. When registering your attendees in a lodge, cabin,or wagon, we need to know their roommate assignment.

Program

This year’s theme is "Gear Up!" with a focus on discipleship. Meshach Soli and his team are coming back to present! Teens will learn the teachings of Jesus, to internalize those teachings so they really understand them and, hopefully, become devoted to them. Then they will learn about following Jesus and leading others to follow Him as well. The workshops are:

Going, Going, God (Out-Reach) - focus on Christ's mission to care for the needy

Exercising Your Faith (Practical) - focus on working out ones faith in the mission field

Actions Speak Louder Than Words (Accountability) - focus on accountability and the goal to reflect Christ's character; talk about habits, peer pressure, guideline on finding an accountability partner

Relationship vs. Religion (Spiritual Formation) - focus on both the relationship of Jesus Christ and also the religious aspect of the church

Using What the Good Lord Gave Me (Spiritual Gifts) - focus on using our God-given gifts to witness for Jesus Christ

Praying for a Miracle (Prayer Life) - focus on the power of prayer in the life of a disciple
